So I decided to hit up open drift today and had a blast learning more technical drifting in the f.
***VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED***
More footage will likely be on Instagram another social media avenues, I'm the same sn on Instagram. So we were doing a technical course in the fd pit area and then rotated to the standard 3/8 layout, all day nailing most of the courses and options very very well. I advise to start slow and learn to swing the weight of the car, I got a bit over my head on a newish set of tires and it came around too far on the last part of technical course it spun around and put the rh rear qp into a barrier. This was achieving pretty high speed (3-5 gears) feathering the throttle controlling the swing of the car.
The damage sucks but I'm a motivated individual to fix it
Man this thing is a beast of a car to drift in

very cool. That can be easily fixed. I admire the fact that you actually have the ***** to use your F for something other than simple commuting .

Dude a lot of people were like wtf are you thinkin! But at the same time are like your doing very very well for what your have to work with! I just got a vid of a race in Royal city I'll post on Instagram. The damage will get fixed quick and the Aimgain stuff will get put on and I'll be tryin to get more stuff goin on this build. Lots of great local guys from proam and pro2 experience in the area (I've helped out Matt Vankirk with his s13 ls1 twin turbo, great friends with the sponsor builder). I'm going to jump full into this thing now

This, shame about the damage but props to you for getting out there and having fun + keeping a good attitude about your bumper.

I'll give u props bro for doing that...ur driving the car that is suppose to be driven...track, drift, and streets. like what I've told some people, if u don't want scratches on ur car, leave it in your garage and don't drive it. Man enjoy your car bro, have a blast, you can always fix the damages but the enjoyment is a different story, that last for a lifetime.

I like to throw the *** out on the F every now and then in a lot but I find the recoil with the F to be very strong. If your not quick with the steering it will sling you pretty good

Thanks guys! I have a blown up pic of my car in the lanes for importfaceoff in kent and this is definitely going to be added!
I had a s14 prior, it was my first drifting car. My other builds have all been Toyota products (mk3 supras, x8 cressida) so this thing is pretty similar to those but the power and weight is what I'm not used to. My s14 had a rb20 head and 25 block making 300 hp 320 ft lbs on a mix of stock rb parts and supra 450 injectors.
As for the recoil and steering, it was a bit troublesome at times. I was holding onto corners well but transitioning was where I was having problems.
Oh yea, and I'm glad I didn't have the Aimgain fenders on yet, definetly should make a few spares when I get a vacuum bag setup.
