Default Who says the is-f has been discontinued? My friend builds a 2015

This past weekend, we had the 5th Annual Supras In Vegas meet, which is the successor to Supras Invade Las Vegas which started way back in 1997. One of the OG Supra owners was a guy by the name of Mani Jayasinghe, a 20-year Toyota employee and a great, great road racer, both four-wheels and two-wheels. Mani previously owned MKIII and MKIV Supras and competed in Sport Compact Cars' Ultimate Street Car Challenge, placing excruciatingly close second place finishes for three years running.

Anyway, life moved on and Mani, eventually, sold his MKIV Supra. In his own words, Mani said, “Having owned a Supra for so long, I needed something that is unique and rare”. While this car will not have the get-out-of-jail free APU program of his old Supra, this car WILL come to a gunfight with more than a knife. To wit: This IS-F is being built as a CCS-P car (Competition Club Sport-Production) race vehicle and will be a version of the CCS-R. This means the car will be the Stage 3 iteration of the CCS-P, which is the highest available stage for the car. In addition to the bad *** driver mod, the car will have the following (All Japan TRD parts):

• Forged magnesium wheels
• Titanium exhaust
• Two-way LSD
• Three-way adjustable coilovers with remote reservoir
• Full carbon CCS-P hood
• Full carbon CCS-P wing
• TRD/Yamaha body dampers
• Carbon front spats
• Carbon rear diffuser
• Full custom paint

Yeah, you get the picture. This car will be a super bad IS-F. Anyway, those with ADD are probably cursing me to hell and back. Please don't hurt me. I will reward you with some pics of Mani's IS-F gem. Better now?

Japan has been selling these for years minus the front conversion. This was at Sema last year with a roof bike rack?

I remember reading about Mr. Jayasinghe's Spuras kicking a$$ in those SCC Fastest Street Car challenges. Love the updated grill / front bumper, is it JDM? Is it really a 2015 F?
Thx for the pics, do you have any more?

The car was just finished, so not at SEMA last year. Plus, Mani wouldn't be caught dead with a bike rack on his car.

tas02, those are all the pics I have from the Supra event. Trying to get more and I texted Mani to let him know I started this thread. Hopefully, he drops in and provides more pics and detail. The 2015 MY was my doing because of the updated front end.

The quality of the TRD parts is of the highest quality; just top shelf stuff. Love the "F" on the end plate of the rear wing.

Looks nice. Not a huge fan of the wheels or paint, but looks nice.

Heres the one I was thinking of. Nice build but not a 2015. I just wish Lexus offered the DST version to stateside buyers.

I saw pics of these cars when I was looking for wheel inspiration. Its one of the reasons I went with the 15 spoke HRE. I believe these are 18 spoke. I dig. love the color as well

What shop did the body work and do you know if the car was originally Mercury Metallic?

The perfect look of the 2IS body style with the 3IS front. TRD parts aren't cheap either, and I can appreciate the parts on the car itself. I especially love the hood with the vents, and have been aiming at purchasing one for myself, since these items are available a la carte. But I would need to visit a proctologist shortly after hitting the "buy now" button, as the lovely lady's shoe would be so far up my you know where for my making such a financially-dumb purchase.

^^^ Lol we feel your pain Brian, my Mrs did the same when Penske coilovers became a topic of conversation.

I'm digging that color too...it's unique. +1 for interest in the shop that did his front end? IMO the IS-F which wasn't originally designed with the spindle, looks better than all of the current offerings that have it, including the RC-F.
