I will say that on the bumpy brick streets around my house my wife's breasts bounced quite a bit more in the 08 compared to the 11. Maybe I should have kept the 08 for this reason alone. But all is well as far as her bouncing breasts go, I now have a 6 speed manual CTS-V and can really make those babies bounce at will now.

you guys are forgetting the problems that come with the 08-09s. Id get the 2011 to avoid the 'teething issues" with the first 2 years.

Hey man this is my second or third post ( i still have to do my intro post) but I too scoured the forum and talked it over with my good friend who had an 08 and then traded up for the 2010 and he told me to go for the 10+. I never drove his 08 but i drove the 10 a few times and I loved the LSD and the ride quality.. So after 2 months searching everywhere ii went with the 2011 and i JUST got back to cali last night from Houston Texas where I got my F . I made the 2300 mile trip over Sat and Sunday and all i can say is WOW...

Everything about the car is intense. i even took an hr in the Arizona desert one some side roads practicing launching, braking, and shifting . the best road trip in a car... I too as others have said wanted the LED's, , upgraded LSD, Satnav, bluetooth and all that jazz. Im glad i did. I almost bought an L-certified ISF at Sewell Lexus in Dallas but it was an 09, ( BTW its Clean as ****) but the 11 i got was the one color and interior i wanted. ( leather and Alcantara combo) AND i saved like 6 grand just in Tax and registration buying it in Texas rather than buying it in ****ing Northern Cali where the sales taxes is like 9% on vehicles..

Get the 10+ ISF's or and 11 :P OR you can get a 09 and just swap in all the parts..

No one mentioned it, so here I go, I own and prefer 2010 model.

1) it comes with OEM LSD just like 2011+ cars

2) 2010 comes with leather interior, 2011 comes with "Lexus alcantera" which is nothing like the one you find in Porsche cars, it's crap, cloth-like texture. No go for me, major turn off for me.

3) prefer the dual gauges display layout

Notes: I am not totally carried away by the 2011+ suspension, because I cannot stand the huge gap Lexus left in the front. 2010 or 2011+ ....... I would still need to lower the front. And I did, with Eibach springs for now, end when shocks are ready to be replaced KW coilovers will be put in.

Only thing I wish my car would have is the new LED headlights, I can always do that when my current set yellows up one day in the future.

That is the only thing i dont like about the 11's+ i REALLY love the dual gauge setup..

I just noticed the gap in the front compared to the back earlier today.. I will hav to do the same and lower mine.. but overall i would go with the 10 or 11.. the 13's and 14's were just too far out of my price range.. Hell it was hard enough talking my wife into getting this over the newer IS 250 sports.....

I think there were minor suspension changes throughout the life of the car after MY11, but nothing major. Interiors seem to be the same except for some color options. Gauge cluster setup is the same. Biggest difference IMO is that MY12 and forward receive the nice 8.5" and 9.5" wide BBS wheels.

I believe the rims got wider in 2012 and in 2013 they went with higher quality SACHs shocks vs Tokico.

2012 was the first year Lexus switched the IS-F over to ZF/Sachs shocks. In 2013 there were minor tweaks to the shocks and spring rates.

What "problems" are you referring to? Water pumps? You know, there once was a time where water pumps were considered maintenance pal. Teething schmeething. You're constantly spreading this nonsense about the earlier models around the forums - give it a rest.

If you can get the right deal, go for the headlights, LSD and suspension. Or do what I did - run out of options with dealers that refuse to negotiate and find yourself a pristine CPO 08 at an excellent price. When it comes time to do suspension, upgrade. Take 2 Gs out of the 5-10 you saved and upgrade the headlights, if that matters to you (though you'll lose adaptive, which I prefer). This search is only going to get harder for you, along with the search for parts.
