So its a 2011 Black IS-F with 55,300 miles on it. Look pretty good everything works fine, clean carfax, 1 owner. It has navigation on it, not sure if it has the F sport or the Levinson audio, maybe one of you guys can help me figure this out. Anyway the selling price is $37,900 and I'm currently waiting on the bank to approve my loan, I'm probably getting a 5 year 100,000 miles warranty along with it to make sure. Anyway I wanted to get opinion from you guys.


Things that caught my attention:

- Dealer's owner was using the car and it was dirty as hell inside out
- Tires seem like they are will have to be replace soon (5k - 7k)
- Front pads looked like they needed to be replaced soon (Dealer said they will check and replace if needed)
- Driver side fog lamp was for some reason loose from the housing (Dealer will fix this issue)

If dealer can fix all those stated issues you see and replace all the tires, I see it as an awesome bargin. Check and see if they are willing to do all that. The F is an awesome car. You will enjoy it and it is very reliable.

I believe they will pretty much do all including tech and safety inspection but not the tires. They are not really due yet but I know soon that will be my next big investment. Anyway I was a bit nervous I currently have a 2014 Mustang GT with 28,000 miles on it which I will trade in and I dont want to regret it. Mustang is very fast but I believe Lexus is more classy, comfortable and overall bette driving machine, I believe it suit my daily driving needs better than the Mustang and still has a 5.0 V8 powerplant I'm not rich by any mean I make a little over 60K a year just started my career so I need something that besides being nice and fast I need it to be dependable. That why I odont buy an M3

Congrats! You won't regret purchasing an ISF, as long as you weren't planning on going wild with power modifications.

ISF been nothing but good to me, even after lots of track days, I don't have to do anything besides changing fluids. Really good car with little to no problems and we have vendors churning out quality parts for us to be competitive with others

It has been removed. Actually the thing is most dealers will give me 22k on my trade in and they will give me 24k

So they say they are set on 37,854.75. And they are leaning on that they are giving me 24,000 for my trade in where most people will give me 22,000 which is true, I already tried. What concerns me is that initially when speaking with the sales man I said i give you $37k and you give me $24k for the trade in, they said ot was ok but when running numbers down they somehow came with an additional $854.75 out of the blue. That's part of the reason I walked out on it last night.

You wont regret getting an isf. Mustangs are fun but they have tons of issues and you see them every where. You will be driving a car that people have rarely seen.


I would be cautious when buying a car that is filthy. Not sure everyones filthy meter is different. If its the owners son, he obviously didn't pay for it, most likely didn't care for it and ragged it. Even though the car can handle it, I would be cautious.


There are people selling them out there. Take your time and find the right one.

These babies are rare indeed. This is the only one in MO except for a red one for 25k but 95k miles and its 2008. This 2011 has a clean carfax it was a company car. No sure if those are abused or not.

I guess my biggers concern is that I will pay $190 extra a month so I want to make sure i dont regret it. I never saw myself getting almost $40,000 loan on a used car hhahahah

I would say it would be a FAIR deal at that price but it sounds like you will have to put more money into it very soon which in the end doesn't make it such a great deal. If you can wait longer until something more mint comes on to the market I would pass on this one. I waited over a year to find my mint IS-F with only 17,000 miles on it.

But if you plan on moving forward may I suggest spending $100 upfront to have an ASE Master Certified Tech do a Pre Purchase Inspection before you drop $37k+

Thanks for your input. Several person have already told me to pass on this one. I know I want a 2011-2014 model. There are tons of 2008 but I'm not considering them ( no LSD, unbalanced suspension, no bluetooth streaming, outdated interiot, ect.
