At first when I got my headers, I thought it would be too loud as well. But after some time with it and getting used to the sound, honestly my Joe Z/PPE combo still sounds very intoxicating. Not obnoxious or disruptive, but there is a definite presence when you give it some gas. Still love the sound after all this time with it.

thanks
I have the I/H/E combo and it's not that loud, especially if you're driving modestly. The Borla is one of the more quiet exhausts, and the addition of the PPE headers added more bass, than loudness, IMO. Other V8 cars tend to make more noise than me, below 3500 rpm in auto mode. Inside the cabin is also tolerable, and conversation is easy, though people in the rear seats will experience more sound.

Cold starts and WOT will be your loudest moments. (I've also welded in hi-flow cats, but they didn't make a dramatic difference).

thanks for the videos and information now it all boils down to decide between PPE and Sikky
I asked that question because my only reference was my previous car Rsx type s with intake header and exhaust and that thing was obnoxiously loud then again it had a 8600 rev limiter

You didn't get to hear mine when you bought my stock wheels.

Mine is LOUD! Intake tube, PPE headers, Joe-Z exhaust. I may have a bad gasket, I haven't taken the time to check yet.

I have silky and borla combo and IMO is a perfect combination of power and sound (I have a 2 year old and a wife riding with me and crusing speed they don't even notice any difference) but cold start ups and WOT is a pretty decent sound for my taste!!

I had this same concern with my intake (JoeZ intake) and exhaust (GReddy titanium). My car sounds wonderful (to my ears) and the decibel level is right where I want it to be. I would not want it any louder. I already have two very loud Supras and I did not want to detract from my idea of the IS-F being a Gentleman's Express.

I participated in the PPE headers group buy back in 2012 and just decided this week to sell my BNIB PPE headers (box never opened) because the car is as loud as I want it to be. I do not need every ounce of available horsepower in this car because of my Supras, although the GReddy does add 18-20 whp. With the exception of my yet-to-be-installed OS Giken Super Lock TCD LSD, the car is exactly how I want it to be.

Ken.
