There are a lot of misconceptions about CCM so I'm happy to help shed some light if it saves people thousands of dollars and a lot of cursing

PCCBs are phenomenal for anything up to really aggressive street use and occasional light track use but sustained heavy track use burns them up quickly. Porsche is happy to charge you around $10K each time you fry the brakes but that gets old fast, even for the more elite track day gentlemen.

Note that not all CCM kits are equal and spcial attention should be paid to the rotor manufacturer and more importantly the pad itself.
RB has made huge strides on making CCM technology track viable with a sintered CCM specific track pad that is being tested on many platforms. A technical review can be found in the GTR forums.
http://www.gtrheritage.com/topic/446...th-ccm-rotors/

The general state of the technology is that ST makes the best ring for sustained high temp usage and RB is quickly carving out their niche as the premier CCM pad supplier and ring integrator. ZR1 discs are also used for cost effectiveness and supply. The vast experience that RB has with braking thermo and materials science coupled with direct engineering access is one of the primary reasons why they are our exclusive braking solutions partner. The best components make the best products and that is why we feel that RB has the best solution in the CCM space, regardless if its an OE kit or not.

Bumping an old thread, has anyone run CCB's on the IS-F?

Checking in to see if there are any new updates or data? I saw 1 person on IG that purchased the CCB kit but I have not found anyone else who is running the RB CCB kit. Would be interested in total weight savings also, I see the weight savings for the rotors but not the calipers?

Calipers are bigger than the factory calipers so there’s a little bit of weight gain there. But still, overall, there’s substantial weight loss.
