Default Nitrous gurus !Went to the track , dissapointed!

Hit the track today for a private event in the track we where doing 1/4 passes , i have 2008 w header ppe , full exhaust iss ques , hps hose , mickey thompsom drag radials and 100 shot of nos , start at 4000rpm 50% and at 5000 complete 100 shot , didnt manage to do better 60' than 2.0 averaging a 12.0-12.2@ 120-118 , i want it to try start spraying at 3000 wot but the maximizer 4 ( system that controls nos) dont let us modify the settings , the pc dont find the maxiizer , wich sucks because i coult make any change!!!

To my knowledge im too slow!what do you guys think?

Tire pressure at 20 psi , best pass tires at 36 psi, had to do power breaking and if i puhed too hard the tires start spin in the same place At
The line and thats a no no.

Any recomendation

If your not spraying until 4000rpm then your probably almost all the way through the 60ft before you even start spraying so obviously that's not helping...

I only use a progressive controller with no window switch so I spray right from WOT, I run at 30% with a 4 second increase. So by the time I hit 2nd gear, I am getting my full 150 shot. I race at a very high altitude and my best time is only 11.64 but the density altitude calculator says that run was a 11.23

Don't power break at all, just leave your RPM's at idle and hammer WOT on 2nd yellow light if not a pro tree...

Thank for all that valuable info. Now a few questions?

How long have you sprayed ? Any issues ? All your drive train is stock?the car w/o nos still feel strong? Im affraid of the 150 shot!!! But i would love to do it!

Did you change plugs? If so wich ones you use and how mwny step coolder are they?how does the car feel on the normal driving conditions with those sprk plugs?

Does the tranny slips or i the shifts go in smooth and good almost a normal feel or it out of this world harsh?

I wish to do 11.3@125 of course not hurting the car and spraying ocassionally the car is not a day driver is my weekend warrior

I'm not really the person to be asking about spray, I have only been spraying this summer. I am having some troubles right now but I don't believe its from the spray. There are much better racers on this site than me, I have only been going to the strip for 2 years.

Shifts are still very smooth, the car can handle the 150 shot, the only thing is your shifts come much faster with all the added HP. I am shifting into 5th at the end of the 1/4. I did not change my plugs and that might be my issue, going to take it in tomorrow.

Your 60 ft are awful and that doesn't have anything to do with nitrous. I started spraying at 3800 with 100 shot not staged and could run mid 11s in 80 degree weather. Do you have track 100% off, do you have a/c off. Do you have a 1/8 tank of gas or less. Is your spare and jack removed? How are you going about launching the car?

Yes to all of the above ! Here the car has never been able to pull better than 2.0 im the 60's w drags w/o them 2.2! Same thing is happening w my nos , tried everithing brake boosting, slam throthle at the green and none of them seem to do the work .
Any input.?

the trap speed is kind of disappointing, I wish this car could go 130mph. Someone needs to crack the ECU

Keep in mind this is a 100 shot ramping from 50% at 3600 to full 100% 4500 .

If you expect 130 miles on the traps for this car , im sorry to let you lnow this is not the car for you ! 150 shot will net you
Close to 125mph

You will need to spray close to 225 shot for 130 trap speeds

A 175 shot and proper tire combination will do it. My old ISF was door to door with a 134mph gtr on a 175 shot.

This ISF trapped 132.5 mph with just exhaust and nitrous. I'm not sure the size of the shot. I think if he had drags he would have broken into the tens.

Go for it. Many have tried, none have succeeded without direct assistance from Lexus. If you are successful, you will have a complete monopoly.
