Nice job! I have some damage on the front edge of my Tom's lip, due to a steep driveway. Because of that, there's a small section that has the carbon exposed. I may just follow your lead and try to add my own resin for the repair. Can you provide a link for the resin you used?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RD...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have no clue how long it will last in direct sunlight ect.. I just have to have faith in that it's marine epoxy. It's a risk but... What are my options... I had to seal up the exposed carbon as water will find its way in there..

He also told me to wait until the epoxy was tacky before applying the next coat.

Great job! I looked at going your route, but there were too many holes to keep the CF. There are clears with UV inhibitors. Talk to a body shop.

How bad is that rear diffuser... Is most of the damage in the clear or in the CF itself. If I had Cf damage I would (now knowing what I know) I would have bought a sheet of Cf, cut a piece to size and smeared epoxy on it. I mean seriously clear coat makes the difference in the world..

NP. When I bought it it had already had Bondo applied. According to the seller, it had damage through the CF. He finished it with Plastidip. I stripped it and did some more filler work and finished it with Plastidip. My work is not quite good enough for painting.
All that said, I wasn't looking to restore the CF, I prefer the matte black look.

Ugh, how I missed that lip! But after a little love, she is back! Now if I can only miss curbs/coolers flying off trucks.

I have not been too kind to my Autocouture lip.
