Default Back up camera not working

So when I got my car a couple months ago there was this problem where the backup camera wouldn't come on every now and then when I shifted into reverse so I decided to get it fixed under warranty. the dealership said the problem had to do with the whole infotainment system or something so they gave me a whole new center console and navigation screen for some reason but after I got my car back a couple days ago it was working fine up until today where the back up camera won't even come on at all anymore. I've driven the car about 5 different times today and the backup camera never came on once. Has anybody else ever had problems with the camera and if so what was done that fixed it? Thanks!

Take it back, it could be the camera itself.

Hmmm...I'm just taking a wild guess here and thinking logically. If this is a unit that they removed and replaced and the same problem persists...I would start considering the wiring. You might have something chafing, causing a shortage between the camera and reverse mechanism. Unfortunately, I've never had this problem. Not on my current F, last F, or IS350. Good luck! And keep us updated!

Default Solution?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but did you ever solve this? My camera has been so intermittent that I never took it in to the dealer. Now that I want to trade it in, it won't work!

Yeah I took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. They started by putting in a new camera but that didn't work, they ended up replacing the whole display unit and that did the trick.
