I can't think of another Japanese, V8, sports sedan that was available in the US (other than GS-F). The IS F will be a modern classic in the very near future.

I plan on keeping mine for a long while.

Infiniti M45 if that even counts

Awesome car otherwise.

Would be nice to have things in my next car like remote controlled parking and smartphone-activated NFC-based unlock and vehicle start.

Id like to keep mine for a long time, but I always say that. I do agree that the F is special. Like the Supra it will age well and have a bit of a cult following

I plan on keeping mine for a long time as well. It's the first 4 door sedan I've had since I was in my 20's (56 y/o now), my daily drivers have been an '87 Hilux 2wd (owned 15 yrs. & the a/c still blows cold) & a '91 Mr2 turbo (heavily modded suspension, bpus on the motor), so the 2008 F w/53k mi. is quite an upgrade for me. She won't have many miles put on her, so she should age well.

Default How long will you keep your F, forever?

Hopefully one day I'll do a 2JZ swap, give her 900whp, and make a very rare grocery getter that my sons can drive on the track.

If I had the $$$, I would have 100% kept the F and added another car to the stable. I'm not ruling out a return in the future...

Default Keeper?

When I was younger I always kept one or two vehicles for long term, then bought and sold 10-20 vehicles a year to drive and then turn when I got bored. I still have a few keepers, and still buy and sell on occasion. I am still pretty enthralled with my F, and definitely will keep it for years to come, how long remains to be seen. A fun to drive, affordable, nice looking car with very low production numbers is a rarity these days.

Definitely gonna keep her for a longggggg time, until the body starts to rot, which is also why i never let it see winter, always garage kept, so the body i would imagine should last a longer time than normal....
I freakin love it though, like many of you have stated, its an awesome car for many occasions, the wifey loves it too

I'm bored with it ! I've come to the realization that it's time to move on. I'm down sizing to a 2dr 2seat 6speed dropTop! I mean it would be nice to keep it, but I'm not starting a car collection. As I get older, I'm feeling that life is to short to drive the same car. Yeah my car is up for sale and will be going to find a new home soon.

I've had my ISF since February 2008, and plan to keep it for a while longer. It has 172,000 miles and has never been in the shop. I did pick up another play toy in April, a C7 Z06/Z07 and at 650 hp and 3500# there is a noticeable difference.

The F is a great daily driver; powerful, looks good, 4 door, not too big, reliable, affordable, exclusive, cheap insurance. Awesome sports sedan I plan to keep it unless my finances aren't doing too well then I have to downsize the toys.
But the mpg around town is rather annoying as I need to visit the gas station too often... I can bear with it for all the positive stuff mentioned above
But as soon as Lexus come out with a sedan with turbo hp higher than the CLA45 (which currently has similar 0-60 time with the F) with great mpg, I might retire the F for a bit more practicality (as I know a Lexus will always be reliable unlike the MB)

The F is my first 'real' car so I think I will be keeping her for a long time. Once the car is paid off I will still keep her and hope she ages as well as the Supra. She is too rare and it took me took far too long to find her to let her go that easily!

Though I've played around with the idea, I don't think I could get rid of it. There are a few other cars in the segment that I like, but probably not as a direct replacement, atm. If Lexus releases a second gen IS F, I'll consider that, but that's a big if.
