Default this happened after i got off of work

well today on my drive home from work i got rear ended and this is the results of it. the trunk can't open and the brace where the bumper sits is bent in pretty bad. can anyone chime in if this is fixable??? the frame also bent in from where it was hit.

bodyshop might need to cut out the rear panel that holds the rear bumper reinforcement and weld a new piece back on. you are looking easily 5k+, it is fixable. I had similar accident few years ago.

Sorry to see this happen.

Can't tell if it's fixable, not really my area of expertise.

Hope this is resolved quickly.

haven't had my car for a year yet. my exhaust are bent downward also. they're gonna have to pry open my trunk thats for sure. my tail lights on the side are popped out alittle bit. jus gonna have to wait and see what the insurance company does. its not gonna be cheap i know that so hopefully they know what their getting into.

Sorry to hear that. My body shop had to replace part of trunk bed, rear panel holds the taillight, both taillights, inner reinforcement bumper, bumper cover, trunk lid, and new axle back exhaust.

Sorry to hear but i don't think our cars are as outrageous as AMG cars. Someone rear ended me slightly and cracked my clk55 bumper and they had to order a new bumper from Germany....$3k for bumper...it's just plastic and foam Then I discovered AMG tax

Similar damage to mine. Can certainly be fixed. Haven't got my car back yet. Costing $16k AUD to fix mine (insurance). New beaver panel etc.

Make sure you get inside the body shop managers head, and the tech. Being good with a plasma cutter and a MIG are a plus. I would want to watch every move the body shop did. Paranoia maybe, but you only get one shot to get it right.

Really sorry to hear about this.
Also keep in mind that a police report (& some body shops) will possibly report to Carfax. This of course is devastating to the value of our cars.

I'm located in broomfield. i work in lakewood and was on I-70 coming home and got hit right before kipling exit. The S2k is my brothers car. Lucky for me i have a cousin who works at a auto body shop and he said just bring it to him. Thats a big relief because i know he'll make sure they do everything right. Gonna make sure they get every little piece that needs replacing too so as for now just waiting on claims and a adjuster. hoping all goes well for me and my car.
