Default Looking for a Fun Car

I been thinking about getting a fun car to compliment my IS-F. I love my IS-F to death, it is super reliable, it looks great and sound amazing but I like working on cars. I wish there was tuning available because I would love to build a twin turbo setup. My wife will probably end up driving the IS-F more than I do, I will drive the fun car most days and on long trips we have a little ford fiesta.

Here are the cars that I am considering; :

EVO VIII/IX
2015 WRX
2016 Focus RS
93+ Supra

I don't want to spend more than 35k I would love a GTR but is just too much money right now. What do you guys think? which one would you get?

Thanks

just being honest

+1 for the s2000

is the RS going to be less than 35K?

Since you're considering an evo 8/9 why not consider an 05-07 STI? I had one and it was a fun car. Lots of used parts readily available, and if you want decide to sell the car later or any parts it should be fairly easy and the car should hold its value pretty well.

Take the Focus RS off the list. Price will be closer to 40/45 from what I've heard.

I used to have a 07 WRX with 600whp. The new FA engine seems to be much better so far.

I think pricing will be set less than 35k to compete with the STi, plus is FORD

I don't want to deal with the EJ engines... I love the transmission but that's it.

+1 for S2000. define "fun car". Monster HP=Fun car or track junky car? 240 hp is plenty of fun if you want a fun car that handles. The trans isn't the weak point on the S its the diff. Plenty of my friends have over 600+ on stock diff I just dont recommend hard launches or dragging on a stock diff. Love my S2000, it's my daily and I have over 247k miles on it without any major issues. Engine is mostly stock but I don't need tons of power to enjoy track days with a car that out handles the majority of vehicles.

s2k , e46 m3, 350z, 370z, are all cheap and fun cars that can be turned into toy only cars. ive been looking at a lot of s2ks or putting myself in another 07-08 350z. so many good mods for these cars now.

a couple of other good mentions but i didnt list because of interior are c5 corvette and e36 m3

My husband has a Supra and I can definitely say that if 35k is your budget, you better have AT LEAST 10k more for repairs or misc things since it is a 20 year old car. That thing gives me a headache...lol

I love the S2K but I wish it had a back seat to take my daughter.

It seems to me that the EVO's or the WRX would be the best choice.

i agree ej engine is weak compared to new FA .. so it sounds like you want a car that you can build.. what about FD RX7?
