Default Pricing for used non certified 09 USB ISF

Hey guys I'd like any helpful information you can throw at me before I further pursue this 09 USB ISF at my local Lexus dealer. Its priced at $39999 which I feel is very steep and its sitting on 39k mi. As far a maintenance what should have been done at this point(tires, brakes, recalls) and what should I look for when test driving?

www.cargurus.com Put in your cars specifics and it will tell you what fair market value is.

39k? How many miles? IMO, unless it is low miles, that is outrageous.

If you're going to pay that price, it should have BRAND NEW tires, new brake pads all around, and a warranty.

I wouldn't even test drive if they wouldn't reduce the price. It is kinda steep. For 39K, it should have recently changed brakes/rotors and tires. Not sure about where you live, but in NY 2012 ISF certified around 30k goes about $40000 or cheaper and comes with 60K warranty.

I think this is way to high, but I KBB the car. It says suggested retail should be 40k and retail should be 39.5k. So its not as high as I thought it was. I also put my zip code in Charlotte, NC. That may make a slight differeance as well.

They estimated the car to have 69k miles on it.

I feel you could get the dealer down.

I bought my 2011 with 15k miles and 7k worth of aftermarket parts for 47k. Hope that helps.

ok so I checked the service records and to what I read the brakes haven't been changed and only the back tires are new. This car is located at Newport Lexus in SoCal and they are not certifying it at the list price of 39999. To me that's very steep for an 09 even though it has low miles. For example there is an '11 with 49k miles listed at 38000 at another local dealer. Its not my preferred color but im going to use it as a bargaining tool.

Any tips and opinions are welcome before I make a move on this F.

If there is an 11 at another local dealer for $2k less then why are u even considering this massively overpriced car?

because the '11 is not the color I prefer( red ) and it has 50k miles on it. I did just contact that dealer and they are going to run some lease numbers for me but again its not the color I want. The '09 is USB my favorite color.

I wouldn't offer more than $36k for this car.

If you're willing to fly, check out Arizona. I paid $26.5k for an 08 with 76k miles. I had no choice because I didn't want any color besides USB, but worked out well for me because of the killer price and the drive back to NorCal was well worth it.

1. Don't use the blue color as a bargaining tool, it may backfire. Reason being, it's the flagship color and pretty rare so they may say that.

I would take the 2011 over the 2009 for sure. (unless you really want the USB, which doesn't seem to be the case)

Not sure what you're willing to spend but...

The AutoTrader search shows there is a Silver 2012 at the Riverside dealership for $46K, I would check that out. Low miles too

Another 2012, Gray (like mine in the avatar photo) with 7,000 miles and $48K, pretty rare color and classy, it's in Utah. Grab a SouthWest flight, grab a V1 in your backup and go check it out. Could make for a nice road trip back home.

I was thinking the same thing. They aren't budging from that ridiculous price. Dealer saying they are into the car at 38500. Sounds like some bs to me. Im not going to pay over 35k.

Back in March, I bought a black 08 ISF with 43K miles on it for $33.5K from a Lexus dealer here in SoCal. They put new set of tires when I bought it. I hope this helps a little bit.
