I'd like to qualify my (for) vote with the suggestion that you powder cote rather than paint. I recently purchased a silver 2008 F with painted wheels (in black), and the finish is wearing away in places (that's why no pics).

Mine were painted black, then powder coated clear. If they are powder coated, they need to be done at a lower than standard temperature to ensure the wheel is not weakened by the heating process. Make sure your powder coater knows this.

Looks better gloss black IMO. Hides the brake dust very well. Dirty black wheels don't look as bad as dirty silver wheels.

IMO black for that wheel doesn't look appealing. If you're going to go with black you need a more aggressive looking wheel, like the 2012. Black wheels and thinner spokes look a lot better.

If you're still having trouble deciding, you could go over them with plastidip and maybe glossifier. If you end up not liking it, just peel it off.

thats for your suggestions, I'm still unsure to be honest. I'll get the car detailed again and see where I go from there.

Plasticdip is an option but they don't sell them locally so I'll have to buy them and have them shipped here.
