Socal F's BBQ July 26th
#17
I'm also down for anywhere really, just as long as there's ample parking and enough space for us all to break bread (or bbq) together as an F family.
Essentially, what I've received in terms of feedback for location are the following:
-free parking lot to house the F cars in attendance
-playground or grassy area to play (for the children/families in attendance)
-relatively clean restroom facilities are a must
If there are any suggestions for locations, feel free to chime in. The more input, the better this gathering becomes. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, as well as connecting with some new ones that just recently got into their Fs.

Mile Square Regional Park (Fountain Valley)
-entry fee for BBQ Day: $5
-park shelters for a private eating area for the group (starting at $500)
Bonelli Park (San Dimas)
-entry free for BBQ Day: $10
-park shared patio for private eating and (2) BBQ grills (starting at $440)
Of course these aren't the only options, but the ones that have been suggested so far. I do urge anyone who wants to recommend a location to please do so. This will help, as I'll be looking to secure a location as soon as there is enough interest in a given location.
Josh began the roll call, and Kody will update the original post with confirmed attendees. This will be essential, so as to divide up the reservation fee of the picnic/park area for our private use. I will contact management of each location that is recommended to see if they can give a discount for the parking with the private area reservation.

I do agree! The lake view as well as the entire surrounding area takes away from the fact that we're by the freeway or in a deserted area of San Dimas/Pomona/La Verne. It's a very nice area, but I've heard conflicting reports on the reserved area for the bbq site. I don't recall any posted signs saying which were reserved, but I would hate to have us all settled in and Kody on the grill, and we're forced to relocate because someone else had already purchased the use of that area ahead of time.
