I have been away from this forum for a while now. I'm glad to see new products being introduced to the market.

Looks like RR-Racing did a good job here. Congrats.

I think I will also order those and try them out.

I will be doing my 8th track day in a week. I am very curious to see what the AO separator will collect. I want to see something ......but I dont . we will see.

I'm planning on installing the kit this weekend. I know my way around the garage and shouldn't have much trouble however as I have read through the instructions I notice the use of a pry bar to drop the old mount out of its place for removal. What type of pry bar are you all using? I'll have to pick one up.

I would just use a standard pry bar like the longer one pictured below. Or you can use a long rod of similar proportions if you have it.

Default USRS Vidoe

Well we finally put together a video documenting our USRS vs. stock LCA bushing.

A few observations that are obvious when you view the video:

(1) We did an aggressive slalom at about 60mph (you can see wheels turning and tires squeeling, and there is ZERO lateral movement/deflection of the USRS bushing.

(2) Under braking from about 60mph, there is ZERO rearward migration of the lower control arm, and some minor lateral deflection of the LCA, but much less than stock.

Another question,
How much time are people getting quoted/charged for installing the USRS?
I had a shop that does suspension work and alignments for trackcars and service for BMW/MINI.
They quoted me 2 hours for $310 (~$155/hr is norm around here). Thoughts? Seems kind of long and high. Should I take it to the dealer where they know the cars?

Interesting, the video show flex but no twist with stock and no flex but with twist with the bushing. What is changing here?

That's bullcrap. If you're local to Socal 626, take it to Music Box. Tommy charged me significantly less, and it took him only 30 minutes (overestimating here) for the install.

Just do it yourself. It is beyond easy and very straight forward.

Remove 2 bolts and spindle nut, pull off stock bushing, put on new bushing, 2 bolts and spindle nut go back on at minimal torque, adjust pre-load, torque bolts and nut to spec.

Done.

I agree, me and another member installed them on our cars and it took us about 30-40 min for my car, then after we knew what we were doing when we put his car on the lift it took like 15-20 min, very straight forward and simple install.

I have no lift. I have all the tools, floor jack and heavy duty jack stands but currently have no garage and a short, steep, sloping driveway. The job is easier than me safely getting the car in the air and on stands unfortunately.

If I lift from the front center jack point on the crossmember in front of the oil pan, where do the jack stands go? I usually place them where the suspension meets the unibody, but can't because o working on the suspension.

Should lock-tite be put on the preload bolts prior to setting preload?
