The last of the Colin Chapmanesque Lotus cars. Everything new from Lotus these days is overweight.

Hopefully they've addressed the rod bearing starvation problem they have when driven at the track.

That was an issue for a lot of celica guys also during autox. I had a corolla xrs (same 2zzge) before but never pulled those sort of G's. Most guys change to a baffled oil pan. I would hope Lotus would have done the same or gone dry sump.

OP, enjoy that whine and Lift engagement! (vtec just kicked in!!)

Thanks for the kind words guys! I do miss the luxury, refinement, and V8 in the F but there is nothing like hearing that supercharger whine!

You should also know that your new motor, like the F, is made by Yamaha. It's even stamped on the side.

Any G series engine is Yamaha. 4A-GE, 3S-GTE, 2JZ-GE and GTE, 2ZZ-GE etc., etc.

That I did not know... Thanks! And is it correct that the G denotes a high flow head?

Yes, that is the designation for a Yamaha head.

LOL, it took me 2 weeks to perfect the art of getting out. Getting in isn't an issue.

One of the primary reasons I went with the Exige, Toyota/Yamaha engine just like the F!
