I have an 08 ISF too but I had no idea about this disintegrating dash lol. Please post some pictures, I'd like to see what they're talking about...
Would using a protectant on the interior help? I use 303 aerospace protectant on my dash and stuff and it seems to be holding up fine and I am at 113k KM (70k miles)

Interested to see pics as well. Had an IS for several years and always parked outside in the baking SoCal sun and it held up.

You mean Lexus won't cover a car under warranty that's almost 8 years old...... Get a grip it's out of warranty. Pay for the parts just like every other Lexus customer that's out of warranty.
Buy a bmw or a merc or any other car made and see what you get lol.

using an interior detailer with UV protection will solve your problem. Have you been using one? I lived in Texas for 5 years and my cars were always in the parking lot. Never had any issues, but I regularly used mequiars interior detailers that are supposed to prevent exactly what you are talking about.

The part numbers across all four door 2IS are the same. I replaced the dash in my Supra 10 years ago because it was pulling itself apart, but never thought Toyota would buy me one. I use a duster on my interior and park inside or under cover whenever possible to minimize sun damage. My dash and interior look fine except for the leather wearing out on the driver's side bolster.

It won't. Lexus used poor quality plastics for their dashboard. No matter what protectant you use, it will happen sooner or later. Lexus admitted to it, changed the plastics in '09 IS and replaced all affected interiors in IS 250 and 350 for free. There is a service bulletin for that. Lexus covers interior replacement in IS 250 and 350 even when car is out of warranty. They know they screwed up bad. But they won't do it for IS-F's for some reason that defies my logic.

Sorry..... I work at a dealership and I hear this stuff all day long everyday regardless on how old the car is. It just gets old. When do people feel responsible for their vehicle. At what age/mileage does the consumer feel responsible? Were you offered a extended warranty? The factory B/B warranty is 4/50 right?
I can understand being upset but it's out of warranty. Back in the day warranty's were 12/12 and after that good luck. Maybe it's that way you have addressed the problem. I'm sure if you flew off the handle and started talking lawyers and lawsuits it won't get you anywhere. Car makers have lawyers too. They deal with this stuff everyday. You get more flys with honey.
