Default Thinking about vinyl wrapping my brake caliper..

So what do you guys think?

3M makes a special vinyl caliper wrap but it only comes in reflective bright colors. I'm looking for a silver wrap, nothing too flashy but just enough to make our sexy 6 piston Brembos stand out a little.

Reason why I don't want to paint or powder coat the brakes is because I don't like doing any modifications to the car that cannot be reversed. If I tire of the silver, I could just "theoretically" apply some heat and peel it off..then BAM..back to stock.

I'm trying to locate the caliper wrap in silver non-reflective but it doesn't seem to be available. My next option is going with 3M 1080 vinyl wrap, which can withstand temps up to 225F. I don't track my car, but am a little concerned about the temp ratings. I know most members here apply vinyl in the form of "Brembo" decals to their calipers after painting without any issue but I don't know if anybody has fully wrapped their caliper in vinyl before...

Any thoughts?

Is this the stuff you are referring to?

I think a member on the board has it on his ISF, it reflects a certain color under a camera flash or if certain lights hit it I believe

Yea that's it, unfortunately those colors available are bit too flashy for me and I don't know about the reflective nature of the material.

I'm looking for more low key, like glossy silver non-reflective.

looks like too much cutting and heating, might give it a try though.
