Default smoking deal on auto trader

$40999 for a one owner 2013 ISF with 13000 miles... Serious steal. Almost makes me put mine back to stock. sell and upgrade. Someone on here should get this deal and save some serious coin.

There is a reason why it is so cheap. Check the carfax. Its been in an accident and the airbags were deployed. That greatly decreases the value of the car.

An accident or not it has a clear title and full warranty... Its 8k off what it should be. with warranty still active you have quite a while to dump the car if its not right. Personally i don't care about where i buy a car. once it leaves the place its not associated with it anymore to a new buyer. Everyone has different ways they like to buy cars. I dont mind pervious damage if it was repaired correctly and the price is right. To each their own.

I live by this off lease dealership and they're known to sell very cheap cars but majority have all been in accidents.

I agree with most comments, if its too cheap there is a reason why. My guess its been hit before.

To be honest, even though carfax stated that air bags were deployed, it doesn't mean the car is prone to not being safe anymore. I'm pretty sure if it was damaged pretty good, insurance would had salvage it. Accidents are common. As long as it was fixed professionally, it should run fine. Just like people get injured all the time. Good medical help and they are back on their feet. Just good philosophy.

Thats besides the point! The point is the car is below the value. If the car was hit or damaged that makes sense!

Ofcourse not all damages are bad and will effect the quality of the ride, but it will effect the value!

Also, normally the air bags dont deploy from a minor collision, since te bags did deploy most likely it was a front end collision and a pretry hard one! Very likely to have frame damage, even if there is no frame damage, front end collisions can effect the quality of the ride. There for the value is much lower!

After seeinfg the carfax i realized that it was side air bag that deployed! Still must be a pretry hard hit and since it was toed very likley to have damges on the fron wheel
Another thing i may add, the owner did drive the car for 13k miles before selling, why would the seller sell the car if everything was good? If he would have sell the car right away, you can have the asumption that he jsut disnt want to drive damaged car, but he is selling the car after 13,000 miles, ofcourse there are many reasons why he is selling the vehicle but you can also asume that he didnt like it after it was fixed and decided to sell!

Notice that the seller traded the car to the dealer, he must have lost quiet a bit of money on the trade! Why would he do that???
If the dealer is asking $41k, that means the trade in valie was around $38k!!!

The car value is around $45,500 according to edmunds in clean condition, carfax stated that the valie should be $2400 less. So the car values now with the damage around $43,000, dealer is asking $41,000. Seems like a fair purchase price!

You have to be careful what would be a warranty issue or body shop issue. You'd really have to find out who did the repairs and if they are "lifetime" covered. If something happens as a result from the accident, its possible Lexus won't warranty the item. Again, you'd have to do some research before you really want to buy this car.
