Default First Mod! LED Turn Signals With Video

Just finished installing my first mod to the F. Swapped out the rear halogen turn signals for some nice LED ones. Easy mod and looks much better in my opinion. Also it only takes a couple minutes to swap them out. I have some LED reverse bulbs on order and will make another video when those come in. I also want to swap out the turn signals in the headlights to LEDs as well.

Enjoy the video.

They are slightly brighter than the halogen bulbs. Can't beat the quick on and off light of LEDs.

I got them on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400572181052?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
You do have to get a LED flasher though in order to prevent the hyper blinking.

Whats an LED flasher? And how do you install it, plug and play? or does it require splicing or something?

It's a flasher designed for LED signals. Otherwise you'd get errors and the LED flashes very fast. This is what I used for the flashers-

The LED flasher will eliminate the hyper blinking that you get when you install LED bulbs. LEDs draw very little power and the car thinks the bulb is out so it will blink fast to let you know a bulb is out. No splicing required. Its plug and play. The flasher location is above the gas pedal. The stock one is blue.

This the one I got and it works great.

these look awesome on my F. I added the Ijdmtoy leds also. The ones I ordered have the resistors built into them so no splicing required. They look very nice at night.

Anybody use this with the 2011+ headlights? I know the description says 2008-2013, but I know a different flasher relay is used with the newer headlights.

This plus ebay lights is definitely more economical than the iJDMToy lights, I'm just not sure about the compatibility of the relay.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'd get it and try it out. It's only $10.

I switched all of my turn signal bulbs to the CREE LEDs. Changed the rears first and had hyper flashing. Added resistors to the back and all was fine. Changed out the fronts and doesn't hyper flash even though it doesn't have resistors spliced into them.

Josh, if I use LED's in the front turn signals, will that plug and play resistor cover the front bulbs too?

I haven't added LED bulbs to the front turn signals yet but from what I have read the flasher will cover the front bulbs as well.
