Moving the wheel centerline 10 mm will change roll center, instant center, scrub radius, and a few other important elements. If you are not racing, might be no big deal. If you are racing, it could make a pretty significant difference in how the car drives.

Can you expand on what wheels setups would NOT affect suspension geometry, Lobux (or anyone)? I'm trying to switch to a 18x9.5 square setup, but want to try to find used wheels online, so it's a bit harder to get the exact specs of 18x9.5 +45 when looking for used wheels. I just want to know what square setups specs would be most effective for maintaining performance.

Since Brembo makes rotors and the calipers for the F the 35.6mm dimension
looks like it's from the front face of the brake rotor hub to the front face of the brake caliper.
I work with blueprints on cnc machines so that's how I would read it.
I have a pair of 45 mm offset Advan RG's in 18 x 9.5 bought to use on the rear of my gen 2 MR2. Have been wondering if they'll work on my '08 F.
What is the stock (front) offset of the IS-F wheels?

will the isf feel faster with this set up?
Its pretty common on a real race car to use the smallest wheels that will fit over the brakes. Whether or not it feels faster depends on a-lot more than just the wheel size.

Right, the RPF1 is lighter, but if it won't fit you'll be hard pressed to find a lighter wheel than the PF01 for less than ~$600 per wheel. Also, I know the RPF1s have a bulletproof reputation, but daily driving a ~3800lb car on a ~18lb cast, 18" wheel would scare me a bit.
I am one of the last few odd people on earth that prefer the look of a meaty tire to a rubber band, so I put a set of 17" PF01s on my IS350 this spring. Easy choice, 17" are the smallest that will clear the front brakes on a 350, if I ever upgrade to an F, the first mod will be a set of 18" wheels.
