Is this a OK Deal for 08 ISF? Need quick response
Hi.
I have an opportunity to buy a 2008 ISF for $26000. It has 90k miles on it with all service records and good brakes and tires. After all said it done with tax and fees it'll be about 28500 OTD.
Is this a decent price ? I am looking to keep it for a few years and hope it retains value above 23k even after it exceeds 100k miles. I know this is impossible to predict but I am sure some of you have seen the depreciation through out your ownership and can take a good guess.
I did some research and saw someone bought a 08 ISF for 20k with 166k miles! I'm not sure about that but I guess the car is worth what someone will pay!
And no, I'm not someone that can't afford a ISF and wants one. I just don't like losing a lot of money in a short time
Any input will be appreciated!

It depends on what you're planning to do with it. If you're looking for a great car you can modify, have fun and drive for years, I'd say go for it! If you're looking for something to drive for awhile and possibly trade in or sell a few years down the road for something else, I'd say look around. I've seen F's with about 50-60K sell for the low 30's to 30K. I know these cars are solid and the engines are bulletproof with proper maintenance, but there's something about hitting the 100K milestone that makes the value take a dive in the dealership's and the casual person's eye....just my take.

I was planning to keep it stock as I know it retains value best that way. Im only afraid of a big tank after 100k miles. But I guess no matter what, its not as bad as the initial depreciation.

I thought about going this route, but decided to spend a little more upfront and get a car with lower miles. I paid a few thousand more, and got a car with 1/3 the mileage you've posted.

Saw it and it has a few dings. Bumper has a crack. Im thinking about offering 25k OTD.
Quick question. When are spark plugs and transmission fluid suppose to be replaced?

If ur financing then why not spend a few thousand more and get one with less miles and in better condition? For $50 more per month wouldn't u want a better car that would prob have better resale value? If ur paying cash then ignore my response.

If u could take pics of the body damage and post them that would prob help us let u know what we think. Is it just small dents a PDR guy could fix or are we talking dents and scratches everywhere?
