I think the car needs more front spring before it needs more anti-sway. It's too easy to get the inside rear off the ground with the stock springs. If you like stiffer sway, you really should just get a live axle car. Every ounce of stiffness you add to the rear sway just makes the suspension less independent. The same is true of the front. All you are doing is adding spring rate from the bar and the other side to the existing spring rate, when ideally, you'd just put the right spring on the corner and be all good.

I've been looking into springs for my car, definitely don't want coilovers (have them on my supra and I just don't want to deal with them) so I think a set of tokico hts shocks (adjustable dampening) paired with a set of springs that lower the car a tad and aren't overly stiff to not enjoy a daily ride of 40 miles each way to work but are better than oem for track running.

holy hell, I could have used more body control at INDE motor sports ranch. When the course get really technical and you are really transferring that weight you can feel the 2 tons of weight ( with the driver ).

^agreed, I Autocross'd my car at hot import daze (Monroe wa) and seeing vid footage made me go bars before shocks/springs (well that and my wallet at the time) truthfully, next is tokico hts's and a spring that lowers (overall after settling) about 1.0" front/ .75" rear at most

I know this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know the exact torque spec for the sway bar bushing retainers?

From the forum I've found so many different settings, from 17ft-lbf to 13ft-lbs to 24ft-lbs.

Which one is it?

yeah well right now they're at 24ft-lbs, I know there isn't much of a difference and it didn't feel like it was over tightening the bolt. It felt good at 24ft-lbs

And that will mean you need even stiffer springs because the roll couple will be longer. Lowering the car isn't the panacea to handling most think it is unless you do the homework. Supras drive best at stock ride height regardless of spring selection. Lowering them makes grip disappear. I would not be surprised if the same were true of the F with the exception we know the front was raised between pre-production and production to clear parking stops. Since the IS350 and IS250 with sport suspensions drop the front 10mm, I would expect anything more would be increasingly bad.

BTW just to clarify the Sikky front sway bars for the ISF don't come with upgraded bushes, you have to use your OEM ones....I didn't know that until I received my set.

please let us know how they feel. I am curious and have never had a set of sway bars on any car I have ever owned that made the car feel worse. I know the fear with some is inducing the under steer back after removing it with the F sports rear bar. I love that flat handling feel with little to no roll

I've got several thousand miles on mine, it's still set on soft up front and full stuff in the rear. Drifting the car is so easy to control, 30-40 mph corners have been taken at 70-80 (granted the type/condition of tires you have make tremendous differences)

^ did you use the OEM bushes?

I'm thinking of ordering the same bushes as the rear from FIGs, they should work right?-----> http://shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?rou...product_id=121

Yes, they were in good condition still. I lubed them up real good with some leftover poly grease from a energy suspension bushing kit.
