When is the best time to buy a used IS-F?
I have been on the sidelines, but have decided its time to replace my current daily driver with an ISF.
Ideally, I want a 2011 if I can find one for $35k.
Can we expect prices to drop further when the RC-F arrives? I am assuming there will not be a hardcore F version of the current IS platform.
Where is the best online source to find a quality reasonably priced F?
Thanks

Good luck finding one for 35k. I think maybe some high mileage out 08's might be selling for that much....or maybe mid mileage private seller cars.

There's only one good time to purchase any car, and that's when you're financially set and know that you can incur the maintenance charges that come with owning a high performance vehicle. Brakes, tires, and oil changes are all an IS F really needs.
Finding a MY2011 IS F for 35k is a bit difficult, considering I've seen some lower mileage 2008 IS Fs fetch nearly 40k. Of course region, color, and availability all come into play, so I wouldn't solely search with ones closest to home.
Even with the RC F arriving, I really don't think the value of the IS F will fall much. A dedicated F variant from the IS platform isn't confirmed yet, but all that is known is that there is no current IS F for 2015.
Searching on AutoTrader, Cars.com, and even some posts from Craigslist can yield a good amount of potential buying opportunities.
Do you have a particular color combo you're looking at? I know a few owners here who are selling their 2011+ Fs in the Classifieds section. It wouldn't hurt to check those out.
Best of luck to you.

I found a 1 owner (no accidents) 2008 with 30k miles for $34k. Hoping to find a 2011 with higher miles similarly priced.
Ideally, I want white or silver with ML audio.

Keep looking I sold my 2011 with 46K miles for $37500.00 cuz I was tired of it sitting around so if you find the riht motivated seller you can get close.
I think the used F market has weekend slightly since the new body styles have been released. I was sure I could get $43K for my car sat for 4 months online finally I accepted an all cash buyer.

^ yea but listed and what it will sell for are two different things.
I had mine listed for $43K then lowered to $42K and so on until I reached $40K and when someone finally offered cash I was willing to take the hit. So it is not impossible to find one under $40K you can always ask and if seller says no then nothing lost.

one thing ill add is that i just bought my F and the dealer told me it sat for months. these cars aren't moving off the lots quickly so you will likely have some negotiating power.
