Default A Tough Choice But I Finally Bought Next Toy

After test driving an IS-F August last year I was hooked. I sold my 335i and I went on my search for a Ultra Sonic Blue or the Starfire Pearl but I wanted a 2010 just for the LSD and updated nav software. During my search I test drove a 2008 C63 AMG. You could really feel the torque in that car and the exhaust sound was amazing, just different from the intake noise of the IS-F. The dealer was eager to deal but I just couldn't purchase because it was missing some options I felt like for a MB should be standard (keyless go and backup cam). Now I was torn, how do I pick one. At times like this I wish I was a millionaire where I could afford both. I literally woke up one morning and wanted a IS-F and later in the day I wanted C63 and next day is was vice versa. So I added the C63 to the list, again a white 2010 C63 for some updates that were done. One day I actually test drove both cars within an hour of each other and I was still undecided. However, after 6 months of hard searching I found the one. Everything felt right. It had all of the options Keyless Go, Backup Camera, HID headlights (yes believe it or not for a car of this caliber I searched a few that had halogens) The only thing that was missing from this car is the P31 package that gives the red brake calipers, LSD and 30hp increase.
There were pros and cons about both vehicles but since this wouldn't be my daily driver, I was least concerned with fuel mileage and comfort. I wanted the power...

Here she is

Such a powerful beast! It definitely has a nice presence to it when driving and at a still. The C63 will have more upgrades and aftermarket support compared to the IS F, so you can unlock more of that power. Just go out and enjoy it. In this class of cars (IS F, M3, C63, etc.), it's really something personal and there will always be pros and cons about each one. Have fun with the C63!

Love it. That's also one of the few cars I drooled over before I finally got the F. Grats!

What I've always liked about Club Lexus is the members who really are car enthusiasts and always are supportive of those who may go to another manufacturer or even trade for a newer IS F. Having owned two ISF models, an '09 and a '12, I can say that the IS F is a truly special car and is even more so based on the "skunks works" initial development. I enjoyed both immensely but had always followed the C63 AMG. I finally traded my '12 ISF for a '13 C63/P31/LCD. etc. in April of '14 when I found out that the 6.2L engine would be no more. Got a pretty good deal and trade in value on the IS F and now the IS F has found a good home in Florida. I think that an extended warranty on any high performance car is a good investment if the idea is to keep it for the long term so good luck to you CometVR4.

Thanks for the compliments. I still go crazy when I see an IS F on the road. One of my favorite features about the IS F is how it transforms when you use sport mode and paddle shifters. The shifts are dual clutch like fact...the paddle shifts with the C63 could be quicker and more responsive.

The M156 engine is addicting for sure! I hope this car is trouble free. My second German car, I've always owned Japanese cars in the past without needing warranty.
Did you notice a big difference with the P31 performance?
