Default Hood lift strut

Hello, I'm trying to purchase lift struts for my hood. This website shows them for the 2009 model, but not for the 2008. Does any of you know if they are indeed different?

There is no part number change for this part from 07/2007 production to present. If it fits an '09 and later, it fits an '08.

Just out of curiosity why are you changing your hood struts?

I had to change both hood struts on an 08 ISF when it reached 3 years old. The struts lost pressure and could not hold up the hood any longer. Maybe original poster has the same issue.

My hood cartridges are fine even after lots of underhood activity. My trunk cartridges are not so good. Still working but if you let the trunk drop from about a foot, it slams pretty hard.

Did you actually buy these, and if so, did they work?

I bought these as i have a 2008 and it went out (oil was leaking out on the tube) earlier this year... they work... what else can you ask for? Has a lifetime warranty ($8 return shipping) too so that's not bad...

I bought and installed mine yesterday from LSD. Took all of 3 minutes. These seem stronger than the stock units because the hood goes flying up faster and stops hard. You can see the hood brackets attached to the fenders wobble when the hood hits the top of the strut upon opening.

I also bought the trunk struts so that's next to replace on my list.
