I ordered these instead. Should work as well. And they are Osrams.

Yep. But at this point I'm still excited about doing my lens swap after tuning the projector with the CBIs!

iPhone pic pulling out the garage this morning.

There really wasn't a clear cut off with the regular 66440 bulbs.

So are you saying that the cutoff is cleaner with the CBIs? Because it looks like it. I'm thinking the lens swap will make greater improvement.

I have my CBIs and clear lens coming in Saturday and I hope to be done that evening.

Definitely. Factory bulbs were dull. There was a cutoff, but was pretty washed out and dim.

Yeah at certain distances it's amplified. Much more than before. The lenses should make a bigger difference hopefully.

Was going to do my lense today and one thing I overlooked was possible sealant for putting them back together. Past ones I've done used a gasket in which this wasn't necessary. Not sure if they will reseal probably back in the oven with the existing sealant.

I'm too lazy to do the tuning and lens swap today... but I did manage to put in the CBIs. They still look off white but maybe it needs the burn in time. I'll see more of the results later tonight.

You can but I'd feel better if I put in some extra butyl for assurance.

Yes they have to burn in to correct color. This is better though because you will see the difference of the lens swap. Make sure to take before and after pics please.

Yeah I did it anyway. There's a ton of butyl and it melts back together when the housing goes back together. Pretty straight forward. Shims were useless, the shroud is so tight that clips on to the projector housing that the already thicker STI-R lenses adding shims makes it impossible to clip it back on.

Figures cause adding three shims made an insane amount of color but I couldn't get the bezel to clip on for nothing and I was afraid I was ready to break it and/or the projector with how hard I was pushing.

Oh well I'm pleased with the straight lens swap. Much cleaner cutoff, has more blue color, aesthetically it just looks better especially matched to my LED fogs.

Dont base the brightness off my pics. I purposely focused my phone to show the color. My battery for my Nikon is charging I'll take legit pics another time. I barely got back in the garage on my V12's lol.
