My F is sick :(
So for a few weeks (2) I noticed my car has been rattling like crazy after mid-long drives. I took it into the dealer and they said a tensioner is bad and needs to be special order. Its free and I'm in a less than exciting 2014 IS250.
Have any of you had this issue before?

yes, I had the same issue on my Audi B6 S4.
The car was not diagnosed properly, and I was informed it was the cam chain tensioner that was causing the issues.
I tore apart the engine, replaced the cam tensioner and the problem still existed...looked down and could see the serpintine belt tensioner rattling all over the place.
simple fix.
Neither of my F's have had this issue

I have the serpentine belt slip but not the tensioner rattle. I am going to tell them to replace it at next service. HAd it on the track today and passed everyone but that belt slip ion manual mode doesn't sound nice when you blow by another car

Depends on where you buy it. Rock Auto has a Dayco branded piece for a really low price. The Lexus branded piece is about $100 more.
I bought the Lexus piece because I am unwilling to risk any small difference between what Lexus specified and what Dayco built and sells off contract. The aftermarket unit might be just fine, but since I'm trying to fix an annoying problem, I'm minimizing the variables by purchasing the Lexus part.
