Why doesn't anyone take out the bridge bolt and the pins when they do this? The paint is going to get jacked when you need to do a pad change because the pins and the bridge bolt are going to damage the paint around them.

i def made sure i did this and slow prep and sand the holes carefully as well, you dont want the paint to start chipping around the holes when you are pulling out those pids and putting them on later. its an easy step.

The color is VHT burnt copper. It's a high temp engine paint. I didn't remove the calipers because I was testing to see if I liked that color which I end up really liking. So when the next time I change my brakes I'm going to remove the whole caliper and redo them.
