Default PPE Headers installed. Comparison dyno included.

I took sleepyray's advice in his install thread and used the same mechanic he used for his PPE header install. Casey did an excellent job and was done with the install after just 3.5hrs (caseypire@yahoo.com for those in the Georgia/Tennessee area that would like to contact him). I have a slight rattle that only occurs during sharp right hand turns with a little bit of aggressiveness, but I plan to get underneath the car and get that resolved today/tomorrow(as long as I can identify the rattle anyways).

After the install was complete, I decided to stop by the dyno on the way back home. A mere 80 miles and 1.5hrs had transpired since the headers went on before my car was on the rollers to see what she would put down. The dyno is a dynojet 248C and all results are SAE corrected.

The blue pass is with a Joe Z exhaust, PPE headers, and a drop in filter. The red pass was just the Joe Z exhaust and a drop in filter. Yes, the dyno's occured on different days, but at least it was the same dyno. I have overlaid them to show the immediate gains.

I am sure after a few hundred more miles and more time for the ECU to adjust, more power will be obtained. However, I am still pleased with the immediate result. The power feels stronger/smoother everywhere and the car just keeps pulling the higher it revs. The sound is glorious and while it does drone at 2k rpm, I am used to much louder cars so it doesn't bother me at all. Two thumbs up on this mod from me

I will probably drop back by the dyno in another month or so to see how it all pans out. I am amazed by the increase in area under the curve as it stands though. There are points in the rpm range where I picked up almost 50wtq. That is huge.

congrats with the new mods!!!
I'm sorry about the rattling noise.... hope you can find out what the issue is.
Also, just double check you don't have any loose object in the side storage etc. I heard some sort of rattling when i finsh drove my car after the installation...it turn out to my sunglasses in the holder lol.

That's an impressive gain. The torque spike at 3500 is eye-catching!

Nice numbers, I have my PPE's installed and my Joe-Z exhaust sitting in my room.

Looking at your dyno makes me wants to install the exhaust asap lol

How does the car sound with just headers + Stock exhaust?
Any drone?

^ No drone at all, at any RPM which is why I'm holding back on the Joe-Z (they're ready for installation and sitting in my room )

The car sounds deeper than stock, esp on cold start ups.

Normal driving you can just about tell there's something in there if you know how the car sounds stock.

On WOT it sounds nice, probably the loudest it sounds is when I'm driving it aggressively, so in a nutshell it's stealthy,

Now that I've gotten used to the added power I want more

How bad is the drone? and is it very louad on cold startups?

I've looked at loads of clips but you can't really make out the sound well just by clips on the internet.

Minor update, fixed the rattle so all good now. If you are sensitive to drone, PPE headers + fully catless Joe Z exhaust is probably going to be too much for you. You can drive around the drone, but you have to make a conscious effort to do so. Personally, I don't mind driving around it as again, I have had much louder cars in the past.
