So, I'm thinking about giving this a try.. Although a part of me just wants to run a Stand Alone harness..
They make them pretty inexpensive these days..

ULTSISF - What color does the Toyo switch light up ? Amber or Green ??

Also, when running the wire to the CIG Lighter or other source.. with the spearate switch set to OFF or not engaged, does the oem Stalk switch still operate on/off ??

Thanks
Joe Z

JoeZ I opted to not run n extra wire for the light but when I first test it the color was orange. Also if u remove the (rubber thingy covering the bulb I will say the light will be white).

Anyone got the fog lights to turn off when the car is off? Is Ricky350IS' the only method for this to work? Any potential problems in using the lighter as the power source?

Which wire is the power, the solid white or green with red stripe?

I would like to do this, but want to tie into the cig lighter for power.

Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you to ULTSISF for answering my PM's about this. I have a 2011 F Sport and have been searching for a way to do this for a while! Found this thread a few weeks ago and Decided to do it earlier tonight. Here's the outcome:

For anyone curious, the white wire is the power and the grren/red is the accessory/fog light wire.

I used this rocker switch and mounted it in the empty middle slot next to the coin holder. http://www.otrattw.net/CONTURA-V-FOG...PZC4S-57U.html

This is the thread I've been looking for! For for all contributors and info! Ordered my switch and will be doing this mod this weekend hopefully!
I will suggest that if you follow the OPs method thayou put an inline fuse in-between the white wire and your switch. 10a should work fine. Just in case of a short, replacing a $1 fuse is much less headache than replacing a $30,000 to $60,000 car!
