This has been stated a billion times but I do agree comparing the ISF to a GTR is like comparing apples to oranges. They are both excellent cars, only with different qualities and made for different purposes in mind. The OP is simply stating his experiences which the majority of us have had when we first got our F cars.
OP congrats and enjoy!

The fact that you decided to go GT-R to replace your IS-F speaks volume for the IS-F. GT-R is an awesome sports car and I share with you the excitment of such a purchase. I just bought my first F this past weekend and it a beast! All stock for now....maybe in a few years when the thrill is gone, a 911 Turbo will bring it back.
Congrats again on your new toy and an understanding wife!

My buddy did the exact same thing; his only issue was service. Local Nissan dealer did NOT offer very strong service for an owner of their flagship vehicle. Of course, it's tough to top the Lexus experience.
Congrats on the GTR, and yes ditch the run flats. He said that made all the difference!

I'm sure other Lexus dealerships exist that have better customer service relations, more professional, customer is always right. I also believe not all Nissan dealership services are created equal. This is why I feel its best to talk around and find out who has had the best experience with what dealer.
Major props to Lexus/Toyota on their warranty department. They were incredible on the phone as far as offering towing, anything I needed. I called in yesterday to cancel my policy, thinking it was going to be a big hassle, not at all! It took 1 minute, they will be sending me a 1300 dollar check in the next few weeks. Very happy!
Now somebody needs to buy my drag radials and PTS/JOE Z exhaust so I can get them out of my garage!

SeanGTS by any chance did u price out an extended warranty on ur GT-R? I'm waiting for GT-R prices to drop a little more but was wondering what a warranty would run on a 2010 or 2011

I'm happy with the factory 5 year/60k mile warranty. I plan on selling the GTR when we have kids which should be soon (early next year maybe?). I probably should price it out though, I will and let you know what I find.

I googled around and it appears a guy at Boulder Nissan sells 5 yr extended warranties for around $2500 which sounds pretty cheap but maybe that is a hookup he gives to GT-R forum members
