Yeah, I'm also concerned about long term reliability. I plan to keep my new car 7-8 years. The AMG engine itself might be fine, it's the other gremlins that might pop up over time that worry me. That's why I'm really leaning toward another Lexus.

I'm still on the fence on the looks of the CLA.. I guess I need to see one in person.

But there's one consideration... Since you've had a 2IS for the last 8 years, maybe it does make sense to try something different entirely even though the ISF is a huge improvement over the IS350. Of your list, I'm most intrigued by the ATS-V. But unless you absolutely have to have 4 doors, I'd wait for the RC-F to come out. That way you can remain loyal to a brand you trust, and have something a little more different at the same time.

If you're pretty set on the ISF though, there's absolutely no problems with that, and you'll love the car! Might as well order one if you want something brand spanking new. A slightly used '13 will save you some dough though, and should be considered.
I'm also very intrigued by the ATS-V. However, with reliability being a big concern of mine, any first year vehicle (except maybe the RC-F) is suspect at this point. And, I don't know if the RC-F will fall into my price range.

The problem with waiting to see how these new models pan out is with me. I want a new ride!!! As much as I've enjoyed the IS350, as a "car guy" I'm ready for something new.

In the latest article in either road and track or motor trend(i forget as i get all 3 major mags) the writer had some great points and really wasn't too impressed with what you get for the money with the new amg. In the end he suggested spending a little more on the c63 if you have your heart set on a merc. Unless i planned on selling the car after 2 years or so i would avoid MB.

I think the CLA is falling off my list.. I agree that it sort of comes off as a souped up compact and perhaps not worth the $$ in the long run.

Done. White is one of two colors (along with Liquid Platinum) that I want in an IS-F. Thanks.
