Default F Emblems on front fenders

Got a question about the LH and RH F emblems on the front fenders.

If I order new set F emblems for the front fenders from Sewell, does anyone know if they come with a temple to properly locate them on the ISF front fenders ?

If it doesn't it, what's the best way to locate them ?
I believe there's no locating holes on the front fenders.

Thanks.

When I installed my black pearl emblems I just ran blue painters tape along two sides of the old emblems before I removed them. Worked great.

The painters tape method won't work if I am getting the front fender repainted.

Will need some sort of template.
Any other ideas?

Take measurements before you remove them.

When you remove the oem fender emblems there should be two holes behind it.

When installing a replacement, there should be two pins at the back of the emblem which fit into the holes on the fender.

Pretty much impossible to screw up alignment as you have to push the pins into those 2 holes for it to stick back onto the fender.

Unless I'm missing something here?

I did mine 2 weeks ago and didn't have to even look at the emblem when re-installing it.

Is this the emblem you're referring to?

Exactly what Defratos said. They are left and right specific with set pins to make sure a foolproof installation.

Ok.

I have never seen an F without the fender emblems, so I wasn't sure if there are pins behind it.

My shop showed me a new F-sport emblem and it doesn't have any pins at the back, so I thought the F emblem is the same.

As usual, the forum members are a great resource.
I can save my time making a template.

i took a pic of my old fender emblem. it has two holes each and if you see the pic, one says RH and the other says LH. you can't mess it up. its idiot proof.
