Yesterday was the 19th annual Toyotafest, held at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. A gorgeous day out to relax and enjoy the company of all Toyota family models. There were a few Club Lexus members that I got to reconnect with, which is always fun. It was my first time spectating, volunteering, and showcasing, so it was a real treat for me. Here are some of the pics from today.

Before it got crowded. (L to R) IS F CCS R #9, NX 200t, LFA #144, IS 350 AWD F-sport

Got some free time after the event, so flipside909 and I had some time to shoot our cars once the vendors and spectators left.

Had some fr eetime to hang out with blisiono (SC300) and his brother bjlisiono (GS400) after the Lexus of Westminister Meet, so we decided to take our rides and find a nice secluded spot to snap some pics. I'll say this- the combined manpower to keep these black rides clean is incredible. Well worth it, though. From newer paint to the older ones, black is timeless when properly maintained.

Much appreciated! I know not too many people will want to mold it completely to the car and raise the quarter panels (another shoutout goes to Mariano, aka Sffd103, for his help throughout all of this), but I really liked how it looked and how the lines were enhanced in the rear and quarter panel shots. The 2IS body style is robust in appearance, and certainly a timeless look IMO. The spoiler just happened to be one of the few that really made it all cohesive without seeming like an add on part.

The biggest question I was asked at the most recent car meets is why I chose to purchase an authentic WALD trunk spoiler if I was going to mold it anyway. Truth be told, there will always be some who prefer the cost cutting method and purchase a replica version and there will be those who always go authentic. I am part of the latter bunch. Yes it costs more and yes it makes absolutely no difference when everything gets molded, but I do fully support those companies who do the R&D and test fittings for products that belong on a car. I don't look down on those who choose the eBay version, especially considering how much these items cost when tallying the total build, but it is all a personal choice. I just prefer the authentic part, and when I tell people the work and vision that goes into something like this, I am truly appreciative. Would I do it all again the same way? Hell yes, even with the lengthy shipping time from Japan.

Found some free time to chill with my bud Khoa (MK4Sup_isF) for some spirited runs in Malibu. Didn't take many shots, but we did get a chance to take in the view before ripping through the curves again. We're both in agreement in that the PSS are much better than either one of us anticipated. Gripped so well, very little road noise, and looks slightly wider than competitors' tires in the same configurations.

His SFP: Aimgain 3-piece rear spoiler, WALD International rear diffuser, Volk Racing TE37 in custom brushed aluminum and double dark tint clear coat, and C-West side skirts

My Obsidian: Wald International molded trunk spoiler with raised quarter panels, WALD International rear diffuser, Volk Racing G25 in limited Prism Dark Silver finish, and AutoCouture front bumper lip

Thanks, Meng! It looks clean, but it sure isn't easy keeping it that way. I think you were onto something when you chose all white for your HRE twins Hope you're liking the HRE + PSS combo on your IS F!

Yup, Kody! You know the pain and struggle of waiting for a part to arrive from wherever, usually Japan. It'definitely more expensive and time consuming, but much deserved IMO.I understand those who want to build on a budget or see no need to buy essentially the same item for a marked up price. People shouldn't get hit with negative comments either way, as modding is solely for the individual. In the end, obtaining authentic parts is the route I chose, and I'll never waver from it. Work hard, play hard, although I'm grossly at fault for not doing the latter as much.

Went through the thread looking at pics, so I don't know if I missed it, but what's different about the NM IS-F besides the wheels?

super clean car man - I don't currently own a Lexus - shopping - I own a 2007 TL-S and when I saw one of these for the first time about 2 weeks ago I couldn't stop thinking about it. I have to own one.

is your car on coil overs or is it stock suspension?

would you ever consider moving up to the 2011+ ISF or is the 2008 just as good, in your opinion?

My first post too on CL!
