driving my isf on highway today，going around 80mph，then a 370z pull next to me. want peice of my F power. i then tap the sport mode，switch from auto to manual. then lower my gear from 8th to 3rd，on the peddle shift. then i heard the pop sound on around 4th or 3rd gear

Its probably exhaust backfire. I have joe Z exhaust installed and sometimes my car backfires with a sexy Pop pop popcorn sound from the exhaust. Unburnt fuel gets discarded

That's what i thought as well. I have Borla full exhaust and it does it from time to time when I let go of gas pedal during acceleration; happens more often during the cold weather IMO.
Car would've prevented you from downshifting if it was too high of a rpm already, but you're cutting it pretty close. Popping should be from the exhaust backfiring.
Mine likes to spit hate frequently when I'm downshifting (which turns heads) through the gears before a stop...makes me feel warm and wonderful knowing it is indeed backfiring...
