Looking for Info If You Have the Borla Exhaust
Hey CL 2 questions:
Im looking to do my exhaust very soon and I noticed that the borla mufflers has the two exhaust ports at the end of the mufflers which in turn utilizes the stock tips on the ISF bumper. Is it possible to weld tips onto those borla mufflers and delete the factory tips and have a similar desgin like the iss forged exhaust?
Next question is I hear the borla exhaust system is pretty quite, has anyone ever deleted the resonator in the middle of the piping? If so how did it sound and would you recommend it?
Im basically looking for a quality exhaust something comparable to Joez sound but I want to put my own custom tips on the car. I already have my PPE headers installed.
Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
Alex

Im sure you can weld tips onto the Borla muffler but I'm not sure if its gonna look exactly like the ISS system. I found the Borla wasn't loud enough for me so i pulled the mufflers off and it sounds amazing.. Might be a little loud for some people but i love it.

I had a shop install my borla catback and test fitted 3.5" aftermarket tips (to mimick the ISS Forged exhaust) but the angle of the borla tips with the 3.5" aftermarket tips wouldn't fit within the bumper. The shop had 3" aftermarket tips to test fit but it left too much open space within the bumper holes allocated for the exhaust tips. I tried and it didn't work

As for the exhaust level, it was pretty mild at first, but now after 4 months of driving around, i've noticed that it's significantly louder than when it was first installed. Still awesome but noticeably higher decibels in sound levels.

I did the modification on my Joe-Z exhaust. Had a shop here fabricate a new mid pipe/x-pipe without the resonator. It is definitely noticeable, you can hear the exhaust rumble during idle. I have the Sikky header, Joe-Z Intake and Joe-Z exhaust with the mid section.
I say do it, it was worth the money and the sound... so intoxicating
Will try to post a video of it for your reference.
