Default Downshift from 3rd to 2nd question.

Hello, I don't know if this is normal but it's been bugging me. When coming to a red light in Sport + Manual mode at around 2k rpm ish i downshift from 3rd to 2nd and notice the car jerk a bit. It's kind of like me stepping on the brake and letting go.

Pretty sure it is normal. At low rpm, the sport/manual mode is not very smooth or quick in the downshifts. During spirited driving, it works flawlessly for me.

yea it's normal... it downshifts and it's not butter smooth. anything above 3600rpms and you get a nice downshift in manual mode.

If you're not driving hard and you're downshifting that close to idle, you're better off just letting the TCU do it for you. The ECM and TCU will not allow you to lug the engine, it will automatically downshift as you slow even if you never touch the paddles.

Yeah it's all normal. I usually downshift at around 3.500rpm to avoid any jerks (during city driving BTW)

I usually downshift from 4k and down,

when driving hard I down shift to second when I hit close to 4k and it rev matches pretty good, no jerks.

I let the TCU downshift for me, but i have to time the 2-1 shift with my actual stopping because it's very, very, very jerky otherwise.

I never downshift from 2nd to 1st I let the TCU do it.

But downshift at 4k and you'll get your sweet spot and it'll rev match well but only down to 2nd for me.
