Default Losing traction in 1st with 285 Bridgeston S04

So after about 2500+ miles on my Sikky headers and Meisterschaft exhaust, it seemed as if my ECU is fully learned the mods. Now in 1st gear at WOT, I'm loosing traction at around 5k+ rpm. Traction control light flashing and all. I thought 285 Bridgestone S04 tires would be enough tires. I guess I might have to step up to 305 or get RE11 in the future

have the same problem with my 285 Pirelli corsa's. even after I get the tires heated by hard driving or burnout I still get some spin in first and a chirp into 2nd.

Yeah wider tires would help out with that. RE11s or Pilot Super Sports are pretty much the best street performance tires you can get.

To be fair, your tires are like a 275 because your outside tread dont even touch the ground lol.

Did you warm up your tires? Also, S04's are not the greatest tire for drag grip.. you can lower your rear tire's PSI to see if it'll help but probably not much.

BTW I'm getting my 305's pretty soon, you can come by and drool over them

PSS is only a bit better than S04 in my opinion. RE11 is a different class than PSS though.

Hahaha Pat, now that my inside treads are worn in a bit, the outside treads touch the ground now. Don't hate on my setup so much!!! Lol you will have to run like me with your 305 bro! Don't make me feel so bad that I might go and get me a set fo 12.5 wide rear wheels to up one on you!!

search..

but 285 with stock rims are the largest the forum would suggest.

305's with 11" rears are achievable by a few of the custom outfits, Fig's, ADV1, and ISS all have setups.

Been searching up and down for one. I guess I need a 2012 ISF with red interior to die for my benefits. I want both red interior and LSD from one if I can have it my way.
