Honestly with the stock 2009 unit, I hardly feel any difference in steering between normal and sport modes.

Also FWIW, the LCA bushings did make a noticeable improvement in feel to me.

I agree with torxuvin the better of the ECU's would be the one that makes the steering feel tightest heaviest and from what I gather it sounds like the older 41 computer is the best one for that feeling. Am I correct?

Was looking for any more feed back from the members who have done this.

Also did you guys get them at Sewell or Lparts?? I was thinking of doing a Toms diffuser but I would rather do something that actually helps feel. Was thinking of replacing the wheel as well

The 2012-2014 part is cheaper in Canada. And with the exchange you guys will probably pay half what you'll pay in the US.

I think this will be my next mod. I hate the numbness at dead center. Its annoying. Just not sure if its worth the money and the time taking her in for the tech stream portion .

Compthis what do you think ?? Especially since you do tons of track time. Worth it ? Not so much ?

My friend with the Cayman drove the F the other night. He's driven it before a number of times and even once did a road trip with me from Atlanta to Dallas for a boy's weekend out supporting single moms. He said the steering is much improved with the very first turn we made above 25 mph.

Just got a price quote today from the SA at the local dealer (who owns a modified F), the -41 was $640, the -42 over $900.

Looks like I'll be looking to buy one from our neighbours to the north.

Thanks Lobux. I think I will oder the 42 at Lparts. Id rather do this than a cosmetic diffuser .

I would say go ahead, worth the money. I payed $495 tax in CAD when I bought it and it was actually cheaper than Sewels Lexus price, that blew me away. The price in CAD has gone up to about $600CAD tax in. I also bought tech stream on eBay for $20 with cable included and calibrated it myself, very easy to do. My name is Daniel by the way.

Keep in mind, Im pretty sure the 42 allows you to have more fun with the car before the driver aids intervein. Maybe Lance can confirm this.

I bought my 42 from LParts. they won't rape you on shipping like everyone else on the Internet, but their retail price is higher than everyone else. If you use the CL5 10% discount and their free shipping, they end up being the cheapest in the US by a pretty substantial margin. I shopped this item heavily before buying. It was $639.15 delivered to my door in Georgia last December.

i can definitely tell the difference between the F steering and my GS350. i actually feel more confident taking a turn in the GS, although i've only had the F for a day. if upgrading the ECU will make the F respond like the GS, i may just have to upgrade.

Just had the -42 installed. Liking it so far... Looking forward to some more testing.
