PPE header installed, cel and traction light on
#3
The cel came on for 2 reasons. Either the o2 was seized and he used heat or he hit the sensor coming out. I work for a lexus dealer in md and techs hit them to break the rust of the sensor to get the out and when you put the back on the sensor goes bad. Replace the sensor and the problem will be fixed right away

Weirdest thing. I went out today. Looked at the conditioner. Made sure the wires looked to be on tight. Reset the ecu by taking out 2 fuses. The lights are out. I hope it stays off.

^ drive around for a bit, if the light comes back on, you did just as your mechanic had done, and just reset the ECU to clear the codes. From others experiences, its more than likely the O2 sensor. From my experience, it was the conditioner that my mechanic had to rewire to make sure it was getting the right amount of power with a proper ground. Best of luck to you bro, and post up some videos of your setup when you get everything all sorted out. Im debating on what exhaust to get with the PPE headers...

My code was the air fuel ratio sensor on the driver side header. When my mechanic cleared the code, it immediately came back. This time I went for a 10 min drive and still no light. Keeping my finger crossed. If it comes back, I'll change out the sensor. However, the car feels different. Not as loud as when the lights were on. I could be imagining it I guess. The car feels more responsive.
My mod list so far is.
Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. Very nice. I had it on the M3 also.
Figs front control arm rear bushing. Hope to save my tires.
Bc racing coil with swift upgrade 16/12. Should have gone with KW. I had KW on the M3.
Bc forged wheels. I'm very impressed. I'm coming from Volk TE37 and DPE 3piece.
245/35/19 front 275/30/19 rear
Apexi throttle controller. I love this thing.
PPE headers. Getting used to it. This cel and traction light is a bummer.
Borla catback. Very nice.
K&N Typhoon intake. Sound is worth it.
On the waiting list for a full Toms kit. Should be end of the month.
Then finished!
It's really too bad there is no tuning option. The M3 tuned was night and day difference.
I am coming from a highly modified E46 M3. I love the ISF especially the 4 doors. But I dearly miss the M3.

Yes it's hard to break 300 hp at the wheel on an E46 M3 without forced induction. It's also 2006 technology with a inline six. Can't compare it to an ISF. But the M3 definitely has the ISF beat on the handling.

Info for anyone needing O2 or Air Fuel sensor. Lexus and Toyota uses Denso plugs. If you go to Denso site, you can look up part numbers for both O2 and air fuel sensors. They are exactly the same parts as if you bought them at Lexus. Only difference is price. I bought my air fuel sensor off amazon for $125 shipped. The O2 sensor is even cheaper.
