Default Headlight Bulb Issue

So i decided to replaced my low beams with some 6000k bulbs. I bought 2 pairs from different sellers. The first pair worked initially but the passenger side would then flicker and shut off. Sometimes it would come on if i turned them on and off sometime it wouldnt. I swapped the bulbs to other side but the problem stayed on the passenger side. Then i installed the 2nd pair i bought. There was no flickering but the passenger side would shut off after some time.

At this point i figured my ballast is gone. I installed my factory bulbs and everything works fine???

Anyone have this type of an issue? Do i have to get Philips 6000k bulbs? for it to work properly?

btw, the first pair were from DDM Tuning which ive never had an issue with in the past and the 2nd pair from ebay.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I'd only go with authentic Philips bulbs. Best output. OEM reliability.

You can get a pair of philips bulb in amazon. I think i paid $110. If it doesn't work, then it must be your ballast. Did you have moisture issue?

True Phillips cost $200+ Even on ebay. Personally I would never pay that much for bulbs unless I was super ballet I guess. I got the Xenondepot bulbs now and they work great. A lot of ppl have had success with Garax as well.

I cant justify spending $200 on bulbs. Philips from amazon work perfectly fine. Still running strong a yr later. I hear good reviews on Garax.

DDM Tuning is a worst bulbs you can buy. eBay isn't any better. Buy from a company with a good reputation. Those bulbs probably ruined your ballast.

Its very possible. Crap bulbs can blow ballasts easy. But you say you put OEM back in and they work like normal, so your ballast isnt shot.
