Default WHEELS - Going from stock to... stock?

Recently got a beautiful Obsidian Black 2010. Love the car but... not really feeling the stock wheels, these ones:

I am thinking about purchasing the 08-09 OEM blade wheels instead. But before making this move, I have a couple questions:

1. Would I have to get new tires when installing the 08-09 blades? Or are the wheel specs for the stock '10 the same as the 08-09s? (Fitment should not be a problem since the 08-09s are compatible with '10 and '11 models, as far as I'm concerned.)

2. Are there any other factors that I should be mindful of before making this change?

Any information will be much appreciated. Thanks!

The wheel size are exactly the same, if I'm not mistaken. 19x8.0 +45 and 19x9.0+55

It is a pain to clean within each spoke of the '10 wheels. And I agree, the '08-'09 wheels were the best in stock form, although I wasn't too pleased with the lack of width of wheels that came from the factory.

Another thing that you might want to consider is upsizing tires. Many IS F owners here upsized and felt a more planted road impact. Whether there was any performance measure to it, I'm not sure, but it adds much needed rubber to the wheels, especially the rears, and definitely looks much better from a rear perspective.

You could also find someone that wants to trade their blade wheels for the 2010 ones, rare but I'm sure a few members on the forum would make the trade.

Would you be open to a trade to a set of 08s?

Thanks for all the helpful posts. Glad to know that they are of the same specifications.
I am thinking twice whether I should trade/buy. I feel that those '10 wheels are slowly growing on me...

If you decide to get rid of them let me know I will buy them off you for a fair price.
