My gf was with me and i didn't want to influence her decision at all so I asked her what she thought before I said anything and she said "it looks like a crappy paint job." In low light I suspect it will look decent but out in the sun it looked terrible. Just wanted to throw that out there before you spent $500.
I’ve seen dips that are very well done. Its all in the prep work. It's no different than a ctappy paint job or wrap. There is this clean turbo rx-7 at my job that looks awesome. You can't possibly make a logical determination for ONE sample rate. Geesh.

Gotta pay to play.
I disagree again. Vinyl bubbles..... my friend owns a very successful dry cleaning business and he had like 8 vans vinyl wrapped. Well guess what. Most of them required multiple fixes as the vinyl did bubble, stretch and deform all over the van.

It looks cheap. Id go Matte clear or a wrap if you really want a color change.

Id say do your hood and maybe one fender and see how you like it. It may look stupid for a few days with a total different color but that way you can get a true feel for it and if you don't like it you didn't waste the whole $500 and you only have to take it off of the hood and panel not the whole car.

Heres my take on plastidip

yes its pretty cool to be able to change the color of you car and its fairly cheap so you can keep changing it,

The only thing i dont like is that its get stuck in between **** like door/trunk jams if you dont tape it up

OP it is your car, do whatever makes you happy. Try the plastidip and if you hate, peel it.
