Default New Bumper Cover or Repaint?

I recently bought a nearly perfect 2008 IS-F. However, between the time I first saw the car and when I returned to buy it, the dealer had managed to put two small scuffs on both sides of the front bumper cover (near the lip), and had scratched it underneath. Unless you were looking for them, you'd never see the scratches.

I got a quote to have the bumper cover repainted and have a new clear bra installed. The cost is nearly identical to what it would cost to order a new, painted bumper cover from Sewell Lexus. The dealer has written me a check that will cover either repair or replacement. Thus, do I take the risk that the Sewell bumper cover is not an exact match, something gets damaged in shipping, etc., or do I simply have it repainted (with the requisite downtime)? The body shop has a fantastic reputation.

Thanks!

Go with the body shop...color has to match and this way you can see if they "orange peel" your paint job (finish looks like an orange peel) or some other well known BS shops and painters do.

mismatched paint on an F is a no no

I would use the dealer since they'll have your F there to match the paint.
