^^^ Good Stuff.

Now I just wish Michelin would make the PSS in a 295/35R18 size.

How/What are the differences between the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport (PS2) and These Pilot Super Sports?

these are essentially PS3s if you want to call them that.

turns out the cadillac CTS-V and M5 past gen shared the same PS2 tires at the time of its release. cadillac wanted better dry performance whereas BMW wanted enhanced wet performance.

the Pilot Super Sports are an evolution of the better dry tire designed PS2s that cadillac initially wanted from michelin.

these are regarded as the best street tires in the market today and the only ones i'll buy. i've run them on my other car for about 9K miles. they run chubby. look awesome. and perform well in both dry and wet conditions for a max perf tire.

How are they in terms of comfort, noise, thread life/wear, and rim protection vs. PS2?

better comfort, less noise, better tread life, better rim protection, but rim protection is more dependent on fitment/sizing/driverskills bud

damn, that's good... cheaper then the OEM tires too - well the rims will remain the same (Factory 2012)

it's a no brainer for me - looks like they make them in stock sizes as well. i know some folks try to shoe in bigger tires, but my best rec is to stick with what F engineers put on there from a visual and functional standpoint. gl!

For OEM rims I think 245/35/19 - 275/30/19 is the best option, not the skinny OEM sizes. For wider rims I'd go with 255/35/19 - 295/30/19, exactly the same diameter as OEM (although fenders will need to be rolled). I'm on the market for tires and will get these PSS for sure, unless I can find some RE11 leftovers.

Does anyone know if these promo codes will be activated for any end-of-year deals?

I need to replace my 225 fronts and want to go to 245's, and would love to change out my 255 rears and go with 275's if I can find a great deal like this.

Thanks.

I just had a blowout on a rear Bridgestone at the beginning of a long trip. (actually the exact tire in the sig) The nearby Goodyear store didn't feel comfortable working on the rims, and sent me to the nearby Lexus dealer (Edison, NJ). They had one tire available, another Bridgestone. After the trip I changed the other rear to a Bridgestone as well, so it looks like I'm committed to OEM tires for a while.
