Not power, but the low end Torque. If I remember correctly the power band changes to an upper rpm range. You lose slight acceleration allowing for more top end speed.

Thread revival but did anyone lose significant low end back pressure with an aftermarket catback system but straight piped the axleback portion via custom straight pipe rear axleback or even the RR bazooka tips?

Sorry, I meant to ask does the straight axleback setup make you lose that low end torque due to the loss of back pressure with an aftermarket midpipe. Typing this on a mobile doesn't always go through clearly along with my broken American.

There's no such thing as loss of back pressure. It's a falsehood and ignores the science.

Something I wrote a long time ago on another site:

https://www.yoursciontc.com/informat...kpressure.html

No, a straight pipe of the correct diameter will not cause a low end torque loss.

Oh that was you? I used to have a first gen Scion tC and read this years ago but didn't remember where I saw it. Just sold the car to a friend after 13 years and finally picked up this IS-F. Thanks and I really appreciate it.
