Having an ISF meet and rallying through the city...

Meet location as of now is @ West 43rd ST & 12th ave (Circle line sight seeing tours Pier 83)
at approximately 7pm and then rallying through Times Square and many others and eventually ending over at south street seaport. We might even do some tunnel runs afterwards....

Do the tunnel under the Battery that connects the West Side Highway with the FDR. It's free and doesn't leave the island. Wish I could join you, my son graduates that day in PA.

You can access it by taking the FDR or West side highway it runs right into the Battery Park Tunnel. I use to live right there.

No toll its called the battery park underpass if you stay on either the FDR or Westside highway you will run right into it. I think you are thinking of the Brooklyn-Battery tunnel which does have a toll.

FYI, I work on 34th st. and pass this going to work 5 days week and on Sat at 7pm that parking area will be loaded with people coming off circle line, going to party boats that leave from that pier etc. Parking and standing waiting for F's to arrive will be difficult, they may even give you hard time if enough cars arrive. There is really is no place to just park and wait at that location especially at that time day.

Your best option is to pick street that heads west like 50th st between 12ave and 11ave, gather up F head west then make right turn onto broadway head down broadway into heart of times square. You can ride this down into soho, then into village down to lower Manhattan and end at South Street Seaport. This similar route I suggested to VJ when he firsted mention doing NYC run. Only difference being I suggested we start in upper manhattan and ride all the way down Island. Just a suggest good luck.

Dave I saved your suggestions, you suggested 3 possible routes in the other thread, I think this weekend will be like a test run. Should be fun regardless, there are other cars coming as well. Hopefully you can make it on the 25th and help us plan routes.

Greg it's both. The rally this Sat (18th) is kind of like a test run, 25th should be more fun since a few people will know the areas we are rallying through.
