Default Got hit in the parking lot, now what?

So the front of my car got hit while i was at work...
dammage is white paint transfer in the middle of the bumper, scratched the heck out of the rarer "L" badge, deep gouge under the drivers headlight, drivers fog light broken and dented driver front door panel.

My question is I have drove the car home and didn't realize it until i got out and walked around the front. Do i take the car back to the parking lot and call my insurance or do i just give them a call with my car at my house and tell them what happened?

Just call them wherever and explain. It was a "hit and run" basically no matter what so being home isn't a factor.

This recently happened to me. I know this really sucks! Call the insurance and explain. You need to know from them if you need a police report also. Good luck!

Unfortunately, You will need to pay your deductible. Same thing happened to me.
Some idiot backed up to my car, did not leave a note. My insurance payed for the repairs, minus $500
deductible. My insurance rate stayed unchanged.

That sucks! It's a coward move to not leave the pertinent info, but they most likely knew what they hit and decided to take their chances of no one witnessing the incident. Best of luck on the repairs.

First off, i would be **** beyond anything especially if they didn't leave insurance info. Call your insurance. You either pay out of pocket or pay the deductible. Your monthly Insurance bill could possibly go up a bit. Use the lexus dealership and let em bring it back to mint condition. Good luck to you.

I would beat the offender with a tire iron...and then tell them not to be an embarassed coward next time. "Things" happen, deal with it. People will get over it.

Yup. file claim with insurance. Same happened to me and my insurance co. wanted a police report. Also, if the lot you were in has surveillance cameras maybe they caught it on film.

My co. handled the cost minus the deductible. Time to get a front lip or upgraded grill.

Just as everyone else explained, call your insurance company and tell them just what you told us. I don't own an "F" but if I lived in the states for more than a few months a year I would and I suggest you get a dash camera. ISF car is way to expensive not to have eyes watching when your eyes aren't. On my cars I simply have the cam placed under the rear view mirror. Many different models/kinds to consider some that only come on when the car is on, others with motion, others with an on/off switch. I use the on/off switch because I mount it to my sport bike when hitting the twisties. Camera less than $300 IMO well worth it! In Europe its a common addition to combat insurance fraud, Americans should take notice.
